Explore the full spectrum of creative expression in a rich and comprehensive program!
For those who are interested in creative practice but have not yet taken the first step, or who simply want to try something new and exciting, the Kitageki School was launched in 2024.
Now entering its third term, the program will begin in June 2026. Participants will gather once or twice a month to learn about and experience various aspects of the performing arts. In addition, playwriting workshops will be held, and the scripts developed over five sessions will be brought to life in a final production at the Shogekijo Playhouse of the Kitakyushu Performing Arts Center.
Participants will take on a wide range of roles—from production roles such as stage, sound, and lighting design and operation to performing as actors—gaining hands-on experience in every aspect of the production process, all the way through to the final performance.
