A dance piece for everyone aged 4 to 150—with a childlike sense of wonder.
The key to saving this upside-down world lies in your imagination!
“Upside-Down World” is a work by choreographer and director Kaori Ito. The piece was developed through her research project, in which she collected children’s imaginations expressed in their “secret stories” using her original kamishibai (paper theatre).
In addition, the performers contributed their own ideas—such as what they would do freely on stage if they could return to childhood, letters to their younger selves, and memories from their early years. Together, the artists created the piece by reconnecting with their own sense of childlike wonder.
Recommended for audiences aged 4 to 150!
We invite both children and adults to enjoy this imaginative dance performance.
