Let’s explore the fascination of stage costumes
Naomi Uchiyama, a costume designer based in Kitakyushu and a member of the theater company "Tobu Gekijo (Flying Theater)" is hosting her first-ever workshop on stage costumes. Uchiyama is a leading figure in Kitakyushu's stage costume scene and has designed costumes for numerous productions, including Tobu Gekijo's works.
In this workshop, participants will enjoy learning from a costume designer's unique perspective—how to interpret scripts to create stage costumes, how costumes are assembled, and more. This workshop is perfect for anyone interested in performing arts or eager to get involved in stage costume design. Why not take a peek behind the scenes of the theater?

About Kitacube
Through the power of performing arts, such as theater and dance, we offer programs tailored to a wide range of audiences under the theme of “Encounter, Discovery, and Creation.” Like a Rubik’s Cube, we aim to combine the different facets of individuals and the theater, blending elements such as “self × artist (performing arts) × others” to create intersections, expand perspectives, and generate new values.
