Newly opening at the theater—A school supporting your first step into the performing arts.
Are you interested in performing but afraid of taking a step forward? Do you want to try something fun? Our new program, Kitageki School, opens in 2024 for people like you!
Starting in July 2024, we will meet at the theater once or twice a month to study and experience diverse topics in the performing arts field. Those who wish to study scriptwriting will also be attending an extra scriptwriting workshop for intermediates (five sessions in total). A selected script will then be produced into actual work that will be performed at the Shogekijyo Playhouse in the Kitakyushu Performing Arts Center. Participating members will learn all aspects needed to produce theatrical work and will take on various technical roles, such as stage building and sound/lighting engineering, in addition to acting on stage.
