Experience the Fun of Expressing Yourself Using Your Body!
For the first time, we are hosting a dance workshop in Kitakyushu with Kyoshiro Oshima , a dancer and choreographer active both in Japan and abroad. There will be two types of workshop: one where parents and children can experience the joy of moving freely while stimulating their imaginations, and another where participants from the general public can explore the depth and potential of body expression through creative activities. Regardless of your dance experience, why not take this opportunity to connect with your body and discover a new version of yourself?
Instructor
Kyoshiro Oshima is a dancer, choreographer, and SnC representative. After graduating from the Ballettschule Theatertanz Basel in Switzerland, Oshima joined the Ballet Junior de Genève. During his time in Switzerland, he performed works by world-renowned choreographers such as Alexander Ekman and Hofesh Shechter. Upon returning to Japan, he founded the planning group SnC, which focuses on organizing performances, producing interdisciplinary collaborations, and planning workshops with both Japanese and foreign guest instructors . Oshima creates new choreography, performs his repertoire works domestically and internationally, and continues to perform as a dancer. He is also active with the outreach organization "Dancing People," which works with schools and other institutions. In 2024, he was registered as a DANKATSU artist with the Japan Foundation for Regional Art Activities.

About Kitacube
Through the power of performing arts, such as theater and dance, we offer programs tailored to a wide range of audiences under the theme of “Encounter, Discovery, and Creation.” Like a Rubik’s Cube, we aim to combine the different facets of individuals and the theater, blending elements such as “self × artist (performing arts) × others” to create intersections, expand perspectives, and generate new values.
